Atlanta Wallcovering, preparing a project for painting:
Step I
1. Helping the home/office customer on moving everything out of the working area.
2. Move all heave furniture that is not easily moved to the center of the room.
3. Cover all the furniture left in the room.
4. Covering the floors, rather its hardwood, carpet, tile, or anything in between. We make sure that it is in the exactly the same condition as when AW experts came in.
5. Closing off the areas that will not be worked on, to minimize the dust in one area.
6. Close off the air vents (only during the time of operations).
7. Properly sand the walls, trim and ceiling (if needed).
8. Fix any and all damages to the walls, by using a joint compound (also known as mud) product.
Step II
9. Giving the mud proper time to dry, and sand again.
10. After the sanding, vacuum and wipe down all the dust so that we try to keep it from entering other areas.
11. Paint the ceilings one coat (two if needed, may be a small charge for that).
12. Paint the walls one coat first.
13. Do a walk through and fix any and all imperfections in the walls by mudding the areas that we may not have caught the first time.
14. Sand all the walls, the mudded areas for the final time, and do a cleanup of the dust.
15. Paint the walls for the second coat.
16. Allow the paint to properly dry.
Step III
17. Properly tape the walls at the edge of the trim with a soft adhesive tape.
18. Paint the trim one coat (two if needed, may be a small charge for that).
19. Rogi experts will do a complete walk through the area to make sure that everything looks amazing.
20. Remove all the covers.
21. Make sure that everything is properly cleaned for the final time.
22. Do a final walk through with the customer to make sure that it is exactly what he or she expected and above.
23. Help move the furniture back.
24. Leave all of our customers with a smile, thank you, and a reminder that Rogi's Home Improvement is just a phone call away.
